Spell DC

If you want to give your high level mages a little extra punch with low level spells, try using this alternate formula for spell DC:

    Spell DC = 10 + 1/2*Caster Level + Ability Modifier

This makes charms cast by a 12th level sorcerer particularly dangerous, with a DC of 16 + Ability Modifier rather than 11 + Ability Modifier using the current rules.

Note: This does shift game balance among the character classes a little more towards spell casters
